What Is Rick Dale's Net Worth?

Rick Dale is an American reality television star and professional antique restorer with a net worth of $2 million. Dale owns Rick's Restorations in Las Vegas and starred in the History Channel reality series "American Restoration" from 2010 to 2014. The series showcases Rick Dale and his team transforming rusty, beat-up items into brilliantly restored pieces. "American Restoration" is a spin-off of the hit series "Pawn Stars," on which Rick appeared over a dozen times. He has also been featured on episodes of "American Pickers" (2011–2013) and "Counting Cars" (2014) and in the documentary "Coked Up!" (2016).

Early Life

Rick Dale was born Richard James Dale on December 13, 1970. His birthplace is listed as either Newport Beach, California or Las Vegas, Nevada. Raised by a mechanic father who was also a professional racer, Rick, along with his brother Ron, was taught the art of restoration from an early age, starting with an old bicycle. At 13, Rick's father entered him into a Soap Box Derby racing program, where he honed his skills in building cars and won multiple championships. He later transitioned to dismantling and rebuilding motorcycles.

Career

Before founding Rick's Restorations, Rick owned a construction company in decline. He then purchased and restored a Coke machine at the Rose Bowl Flea Market and sold it for three times the cost, igniting his passion for restoration. Rick began specializing in Coke machines and expanded his business by buying restorables during his travels across the U.S. His expertise caught the attention of "Pawn Stars" producers, leading to his appearances on the show and eventual starring role in "American Restoration."

The show featured cross-appearances by the casts of "American Pickers" and "Pawn Stars," and guests like magicians David Copperfield and Lance Burton, and musicians Billy Joel and Sammy Hagar.

Personal Life

Rick has three children—one from his first marriage and two with Kelly Mayer, whom he married in 1994. Rick's Restorations is very much a family business. Kelly manages operations and development; their son Tyler runs the shop; their other son Brettly is a salesman and picker; their daughter Ally oversees office management and accounts receivable; and niece Michelle acts as assistant manager and handles merchandise. Rick's brother, Ron, also contributes to the business as a picker.
