Tim Commerford is an American musician with a net worth of $20 million. Born in Irvine, California in February 1968, Commerford is best known as the bassist and backing vocalist for the influential band Rage Against the Machine and the supergroup Audioslave.
Rage Against the Machine was formed in Los Angeles in 1991 and quickly became known for their powerful music and socio-political messages. The band has sold over 16 million records worldwide. Their self-titled debut album, released in 1992, achieved 3x Platinum status in the United States. Following their debut, Rage Against the Machine released several successful albums. Their second album, Evil Empire (1996), reached #1 in the US, France, and Sweden. In 1999, The Battle of Los Angeles also reached #1 in the US, Canada, and New Zealand. Their fourth album, Renegades, came out in 2000. One of their best-known singles is "Bulls on Parade."
In 2001, Commerford, along with other members of Rage Against the Machine, formed Audioslave, with Soundgarden's Chris Cornell as lead vocalist.
