Early Life
Tamar Estine Braxton was born in Severn, Maryland, on March 17, 1977. She is the youngest of Evelyn and Michael Braxton's six children. The Braxton siblings sang in the church choir where their father was a pastor. In 1989, Toni, Traci, Towanda, Trina, and Tamar Braxton signed their first record deal with Arista Records and released their first single, "Good Life," in 1990. However, the age differences among the members created marketing challenges, leading Arista Records to drop the group.
In 1991, a producer heard Toni Braxton singing and introduced the sisters to L.A. Reid and Babyface, who were setting up LaFace Records. Though the group wasn't signed, Toni was, and her sisters became her backup singers. Tamar released her first solo album in 2000 but was dropped by Dreamworks due to the album's lack of success.
In 2010, Tamar signed with Universal Records and began appearing on the TV show, "Tiny and Toya." She gained greater fame with her family's reality show, "Braxton Family Values," which started airing in April 2011. In 2012, she and her then-husband Vincent Herbert starred in their spin-off show, "Tamar & Vincent," on WE TV.

In November 2014, Tamar launched a ready-to-wear clothing and shoe line called Tamar Collection. She competed in "Dancing with the Stars" in 2015 but had to withdraw due to health issues, finishing in fifth place.
Her second studio album, "Love and War," was released in 2013, followed by "Winter Loversland" and "Calling All Lovers". In 2017, she released another successful album, "Bluebird of Happiness." Her popular singles include "Love and War," "The One," and "All The Way Home."

Personal Life
Tamar married music producer Darrell Allamby in 2001, but they divorced in 2003. She then began dating record executive Vincent Herbert, whom she married in 2008. Their son, Logan Vincent Herbert, was born in 2013. The couple divorced in 2019.
Tamar has been open about suffering from vitiligo and discovered multiple pulmonary emboli in her lungs in 2015, leading her to withdraw from "Dancing with the Stars." She is currently dating financial advisor David Adefeso and lives with her son Logan. In July 2020, Tamar faced a health scare when Adefeso found her unresponsive, leading to her hospitalization.
Real Estate
In April 2013, Tamar and Vincent bought a $10.5 million mansion in Calabasas, CA. However, due to financial and relationship issues, they sold the house in 2017 at a substantial loss. Currently, Tamar and her boyfriend rent a luxury condo in Beverly Hills for $15,000 a month, featuring numerous amenities.
