What is Eric Bischoff's Net Worth and Salary?

Eric Bischoff is an American television producer, professional wrestling booker, promoter, and performer who has a net worth of $10 million. He is renowned for his roles as Executive Producer and Senior Vice President of World Championship Wrestling (WCW). Later, he served as the on-screen General Manager of WWE's Raw brand and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021.

Early Life

Born on May 27, 1955, in Detroit, Michigan, Eric Bischoff had a diverse career before entering wrestling. He acted in training videos for bank employees, owned a landscape construction company, worked as a veterinary assistant, competed as a professional kickboxer, and ran a butcher shop with van delivery service.

Career

Bischoff began his wrestling career in 1986 with the American Wrestling Association (AWA), owned by Verne Gagne. By 1989, he was an on-air interviewer and host until the company folded in 1991.

Joining WCW in 1991 as an announcer, Bischoff became Executive Producer in 1993 and was promoted to Senior Vice President in 1994. He convinced executives to better finance WCW, allowing them to compete with WWF. He was instrumental in signing Hulk Hogan and increasing production values along with WCW pay-per-views. His brainchild, "WCW Monday Nitro," directly competed with WWF's "Monday Night Raw." In 1995, WCW turned its first profit, and Bischoff was named President by 1997.

Bischoff also developed the New World Order (nWo), a storyline portraying a rival entity engaging in a hostile takeover of WCW, which significantly boosted ratings and popularity. By 1997, WCW surpassed WWF, dominating the ratings for 83 consecutive weeks. However, in April 1998, WWF's rebranding led to WCW's decline. By late 1999, Bischoff was relieved of his management duties as WCW started losing money.

In 2002, Bischoff joined WWE, previously WWF, as the general manager of "Raw." His on-screen role included dramatic feuds and culminated in his on-screen firing in 2005 by Vince McMahon and John Cena.

Post-WWE, Bischoff made sporadic appearances and negotiated deals, including working with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) from 2010 to 2014, which he later regretted. In 2019, he briefly returned to WWE as the executive director of "SmackDown." In April 2021, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Personal Life

Bischoff married Kimberly Bowman in 1979 but divorced in 1982. He married Loree Bischoff in 1984, and they have two children, Garett and Montanna. Garett debuted in TNA Wrestling in 2010 as a referee and later became a wrestler.

In 2011, Bischoff founded a brewing company in Cody, Wyoming, and has been a longtime fan of the jam band Phish, collecting their concert recordings and memorabilia.
