Danielle Colby was born on December 3, 1975, in Davenport, Iowa. Her mother, Sue, appeared in episodes of "American Pickers." Raised in a Jehovah's Witness family, Danielle grew up in a strict yet loving household. She has two sisters: a younger sister named Ann, who also performs in burlesque under the name Carbomb Betty, and an older sister named Tara.
Career
Danielle's interest in burlesque began while living in Chicago, where she watched a performance featuring Margaret Cho and a dancer known as Satan's Angel. This inspired her to pursue burlesque herself. After moving to Iowa, she founded Burlesque Le' Moustache, touring throughout Iowa and Illinois. Later, she opened Dannie Diesel's Bump 'n' Grind Academy in Chicago.

In 2010, Danielle joined "American Pickers" upon the request of her long-time friend Mike Wolfe. Wolfe wanted someone who would stand out and bring a fresh perspective to the show. The series has since aired over 300 episodes across 22 seasons. Danielle stated, "My work on 'American Pickers' reflects my real-life passion for history. The beauty lies in the story. Without a backstory, there is little value to vintage. This is the mentality that keeps me searching for answers and stories that will nurture the human spirit and allow us to reflect on the more macabre side of history."
Personal Life
Danielle married Chad Cushman in 2004, and they have two children, Miles and Memphis. The couple divorced in 2012 due to the challenges of fame. In 2015, she secretly wed Alexandre De Meyer, but they divorced the same year. In December 2020, Danielle announced her engagement to Jeremy Scheuch. Colby enjoys spending her free time in Puerto Rico, assisting with the rebuilding of the island and dedicating time to orphanages, animal shelters, and raising awareness about human trafficking.
Real Estate
In August 2018, Danielle purchased a 1,584 square-foot farmhouse in Erie, Illinois, for $295,000. The 4.56-acre property features a stream and a pond.
