Collegiate Career
At Duke University, playing under coach Mike Krzyzewski, Boozer helped the Blue Devils clinch the 2001 NCAA Championship. He scored over 600 points in the 2001-02 season, a feat he shared with teammate Mike Dunleavy Jr. Although Boozer didn't initially complete his degree, he officially graduated from Duke in 2020.
Cleveland Cavaliers
Choosing to declare for the NBA draft in April 2002, Boozer was picked 35th overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers. In his rookie season, he averaged 10 points and 7.5 rebounds per game and improved these numbers to 15.5 points and 11.4 rebounds per game in his second season.
Utah Jazz
