Christopher Beck Bennett was born on October 1, 1984, in Wilmette, Illinois. He is the son of Andy and Sarah Bennett and has two brothers, Sam and Drew. As a child, Beck performed in plays at Children's Theatre of Winnetka and starred as Jean Valjean in "Les Misérables" at New Trier High School. He later enrolled in the B.F.A. Acting program at USC School of Dramatic Arts, where he met his future "SNL" castmate Kyle Mooney.

Early Career

In 2003, Bennett, Mooney, and Nick Rutherford joined USC's improv troupe Commedus Interruptus. They formed the sketch group Good Neighbor with director/editor Dave McCary in 2007. The group received praise from director Steven Spielberg for their "Hook" parody "Unbelievable Dinner." Bennett made his film debut in "The Prototype" (2005) and created the satirical talk show "Fresh Perspectives" in 2011.
