Early Life
BamBam, born Kunpimook Bhuwakul on May 2, 1997, in Bangkok, Thailand, adopted his stage name as a nod to Bamm-Bamm from "The Flintstones." His exposure to music began through his mother, an avid fan of artists like Rain, and included attending numerous concerts. BamBam started dancing at a young age and eventually joined the dance crew We Zaa Cool, where he performed alongside future Blackpink superstar Lisa.
In 2007, Kunpimook won first prize in the Thailand Rain Cover Dance Competition.
Career
After securing several competition victories, BamBam moved to South Korea at age 13 to train at JYP Entertainment. Following over three years of rigorous training, he debuted as a member of Got7, a boy band introduced by JYP on January 1, 2014—marking JYP's first boy band in eight years.
Got7 released their music video for "Girls Girls Girls" on January 16, 2014. That same month, they received the New Artist Award at the 29th Golden Disc Awards and a similar honor at the 24th Seoul Music Awards.

Departure from JYPE
