Vondie attended Presentation Our Lady of Victory grade school, where he was taught by the Oblate Sisters of Providence, the only all-black order of nuns in the United States.
Career
Vondie Curtis-Hall began his acting career in 1981 as part of the original Broadway cast of 'Dreamgirls,' playing Marty. His onscreen debut came in 1989 with roles in 'A Man Called Hawk,' 'Mystery Train,' and 'Black Rain.'
