Vijay Amritraj is an Indian actor, sports commentator, and former professional tennis player with a net worth of $5 million. Born in Madras, India, in December 1953, Amritraj turned professional in 1970 and retired in 1993, accumulating $1.3 million in career prize money.
During his tennis career, Amritraj achieved a singles record of 390–203 with 16 titles and reached his highest singles ranking of #16 in July 1980. Notably, he reached the quarterfinals of both Wimbledon and the US Open twice. In doubles, he finished with a record of 264–218, won 13 titles, and achieved his highest doubles ranking of #23 in March 1980. He reached the semifinals of Wimbledon in 1976 and was a finalist in the Davis Cup in 1974 and 1987.
