What is Steve Angello's Net Worth?

Steve Angello is a Greek-Swedish DJ, record producer, and record label owner who has a net worth of $40 million. He is perhaps best known for his activities within the Swedish House Mafia, a group that he formed alongside Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso. Aside from his work with Swedish House Mafia, Angello is also a successful record producer, remixer, and record label owner.

Early Years

Steven Patrik Josefsson Fragogiannis was born on November 22, 1982, in Athens, Greece. Raised by a Greek father and a Swedish mother in Stockholm, Sweden, Steve began DJing at the age of 12. His brother, known as AN21, also followed a career in music. During his early years, Steve performed at various scratch competitions initially influenced by hip-hop and breakbeats before transitioning towards electronic music in his late teens. It was at the age of six that Steve first met Sebastian Ingrosso, his future bandmate in Swedish House Mafia.

Career

Steve Angello emerged on the music scene in the early 2000s with tracks under the stage name "Who's Who," including "Not So Dirty." Collaborating with Sebastian Ingrosso, the duo released several tracks. He also recorded under labels like Subliminal and Cr2, while establishing his own label, Size Records, in Stockholm.

In 2004, Angello gained attention with his remix of the Eurythmics' song "Sweet Dreams." Two years later, he partnered with Axwell to produce "Tell Me Why," which became a massive club anthem. In 2007, he released his first solo hit, "Baby When the Light." Other notable projects include a collaboration with Laidback Luke on the UK hit remake of Robin S.'s "Show Me Love."

By 2008, Steve Angello, Axwell, and Sebastian Ingrosso formed Swedish House Mafia. Although Eric Prydz was invited to join, he declined. The group released hits like "Get Dumb" and "Leave the World Behind" and collaborated with artists like David Guetta on "Everytime We Touch." In 2010, they released their debut album, "Until One," featuring hits like "One" with Pharrell Williams and "Miami 2 Ibiza" with Tinie Tempah. Steve also contributed solo tracks like "Tivoli." The group toured extensively, including performances at Tomorrowland.

Swedish House Mafia released "Save the World" featuring John Martin, followed by "Antidote" and "Greyhound." Their most successful track, "Don't You Worry Child," reached number one in Sweden, Australia, and the UK, and achieved multi-platinum status globally. The track was included in the compilation album "Until Now" in 2012. That same year, Angello allowed a camera crew to document his life and released the album "People of the Night" with his brother AN21 and Max Vangeli.

In 2013, Steve focused on his record label, working with Junior Sanchez to distribute Brobot Records and launching the tech house label "X." He also collaborated with artists like Trent Cantrelle and Matisse & Sadko, and released his own solo tracks such as "Payback."

By 2017, Angello returned to performing, gracing the stage at Coachella and releasing new singles in preparation for his 2018 album, "Human." That year also marked the reunion of Swedish House Mafia, with the group confirming a 2019 world tour.
