What is Sam Adams' Net Worth?

Sam Adams, also known as Wiz, is a prominent American rapper and producer with a net worth of $3 million. He is recognized for his influence in hip-hop, electronic, and Dubstep music genres.

Early Life

Samuel Adams Wisner, famously known as Sam Adams or Sammy Adams, was born on August 14, 1987, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. His parents are Kata Hull and Chuck Wisner. During his teenage years, his family relocated to Wayland, Massachusetts. Adams transferred from Beaver Country Day School to Wayland High School. Showing a keen interest in sports, he attended Trinity College, where he played soccer and eventually became the team captain during his senior year.

Adam's musical journey began at the age of seven when he started playing the piano. His passion for music continued throughout his school years as he experimented with writing raps and recording songs on his laptop while in college.

Career

In September 2009, Adams released "I Hate College (Remix)", a remix of Asher Roth's "I Love College", on YouTube. The song rapidly gained popularity, amassing over 10 million views by September 2015. Other tracks like "Kimber", "Poker Face Remix", and "Rollin" also received millions of views, leading to his signing with 1st Round Records. His debut EP, "Boston's Boy" (2010), topped iTunes and sold 8,000 digital copies in its first week, reaching No. 73 on the Billboard 200 chart. Critics praised the EP for its fun and catchy composition.

However, the success came with challenges. Adams faced accusations from major record labels of buying his own records to boost chart rankings, claims which remain unproven. Adam's response was that his success was driven by word of mouth, despite the pain success brings and the envy it attracts.

In September 2010, Adams released his second EP, "Party Records Mixtape", recorded in London. During a performance at Kansas State University in the same month, he had his noise permit revoked and was controversially arrested for continuing his performance.

Adams' visibility soared in August 2011 with a performance at the Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago. Later that year, he signed with RCA Records and released the single "Blow Up". His singles "Summertime" and "Only One" gained notable traction, especially "Only One", which expanded his reach beyond the college audience and into mainstream media. Teen Vogue recognized him as one of the new "Artists To Watch". Subsequent releases included "All Night Longer" and a remix of Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble".

In 2015, Adams parted ways with RCA and returned to 1st Round Records, where he released his debut album "The Long Way" in 2016. In 2017, he transitioned to an independent artist and released the single "Shining".
