Early Life

Robert William Corddry was born on February 4, 1971, in Weymouth, Massachusetts. He grew up with his mother Robin, father Steven, and younger brother Nate, who is also an accomplished actor known for his roles in "Mom," "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip," and "Harry's Law." Both brothers achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Rob graduated from Weymouth North High School in 1989 and attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he studied English and took drama classes. He graduated in 1993 and moved to New York City in 1994. In his early career, Corddry worked as a security guard at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and toured with the National Shakespeare Company. He studied improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and was part of the sketch comedy groups The Naked Babies and Third Rail Comedy.

Personal Life

Rob Corddry married Sandra Beth Leftowits in 2002. They have two daughters, Sloane (born July 3, 2006) and Marlo (born November 12, 2008). In 2016, Corddry helped establish the Ed Golden Acting Scholarship at the University of Massachusetts Amherst along with Jeffrey Donovan and Bill Pullman. The scholarship honors Professor Emeritus Edward J. Golden by supporting students with exceptional acting talent.
