Orlando Bloom is an esteemed English actor with a net worth of $40 million. He ascended to global fame following his role as Legolas in "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, a part he secured just two days after graduating from theater school. His immense success continued with major roles in the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise and films such as "Troy," "Kingdom of Heaven," "Elizabethtown," and "The Three Musketeers." Furthermore, he starred on Broadway in "Romeo and Juliet." Bloom has also made notable appearances on television and received several acting awards. Early Life

Orlando Jonathan Blanchard Copeland Bloom was born on January 13, 1977, in Canterbury, Kent. His mother, Sonia Constance Josephine (née Copeland), originally from India, later lived in Australia and Japan. Up until age thirteen, Bloom believed his mother's husband, anti-Apartheid novelist Harry Saul Bloom, was his biological father. However, he later learned that his actual father was a family friend, Colin Stone.

Bloom attended St Edmund's School in Canterbury before moving to London in 1993 to study at Fine Arts College, Hampstead. His early professional roles included appearances in "Casualty" and "Midsomer Murders," as well as in the film "Wilde" (1997). He later joined the National Youth Theatre and earned a scholarship to the British American Drama Academy before attending the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.

Career

Two days after graduating from Guildhall in 1999, Bloom landed his breakout role as Legolas in "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy (2001-2003), appearing in "The Fellowship of the Ring" (2001), "The Two Towers" (2002), and "The Return of the King" (2003). The trilogy's success garnered the entire cast a Screen Actors Guild Best Ensemble Acting Award in 2003 for the final film. During this period, he also appeared in Ridley Scott's film "Black Hawk Down" (2001).

Bloom's career soared with his starring role as Will Turner in the Disney blockbuster "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" (2003), alongside Keira Knightley and Johnny Depp. This led to his roles in "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" (2006) and "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" (2007). He briefly reprised his role in "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" (2017). Thanks to these roles, Bloom was the most-searched man on Google News in 2006.
