Miley’s acting debut came with a role in her father’s series "Doc." In 2003, she appeared as Young Ruthie in Tim Burton's "Big Fish." Miley’s breakthrough came with Disney’s "Hannah Montana." The show’s success skyrocketed Miley’s career, making her a household name.

Her Malibu home, shared with Hemsworth, was destroyed in the 2018 Woolsey Fire. Miley sold another Malibu property to Matthew Wilder in 2020 for $1.7 million, a loss from her 2016 purchase price of $2.5 million.
