Amick made her television debut in 1988 on "Days of Our Lives," later guest-starring on "Star Trek: The Next Generation" (1989). Her breakthrough came as Shelly Johnson on ABC’s "Twin Peaks," directed by David Lynch. She starred in the show’s 30 episodes, the 1992 prequel film "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me," and the 2017 revival. Her film roles include "The Borrower" (1991) and the Stephen King movie "Sleepwalkers" (1992).
