What is Lauren Boebert's Net Worth and Salary?
Lauren Boebert is a Republican politician and businesswoman who has a net worth of $400,000. This is a combined net worth with her husband, Jayson Boebert, who has recently earned nearly $500,000 per year as a consultant. As a member of the US House of Representatives, Lauren Boebert earns an annual salary of $174,000. Elected to represent Colorado's 3rd congressional district in 2020, Boebert began serving in 2021. Known for her fervent gun rights advocacy, she previously owned the now-defunct restaurant Shooters Grill in Rifle, Colorado, and is infamous for her ties to far-right extremists, her anti-LGBTQ views, and attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election results.
Financial Disclosure Report
According to her August 2022 House of Representatives Financial Disclosure Report, Lauren and her husband have less than $15,000 in both their primary checking and various retirement and investment accounts. Other assets include capital gains from Crypto Money Movement COIN, worth less than $15,000, and a few other investments totaling less than $1,000 each. Additionally, Jayson earned $480,000 and $460,000 in 2022 and 2021, respectively, from Boebert Consulting. They also owe Pennymac bank between $250,000 and $500,000 for a mortgage on their personal home in Rifle, Colorado, which is worth between $600,000 and $700,000. The value of their former restaurant business is less than $15,000.
Lauren Boebert is NOT Worth $41 Million
Contrary to internet rumors, Lauren is not worth $41 million. This figure originated from a parody website that falsely claimed Boebert owns a luxury yacht, multiple real estate properties, has cash reserves of $16 million, and makes $250,000 per month. These claims are entirely fabricated.
Early Life and Education
Lauren Boebert was born Lauren Opal Roberts on December 19, 1986, in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Her mother was an 18-year-old single mom who claimed that retired professional wrestler Stan Lane was Lauren's biological father. After multiple paternity suits, Lane was ultimately proven not to be her father through two paternity tests, one in 1990 and another in 2023. Lauren moved to Denver, Colorado at age 12, then Aurora, and finally to Rifle in 2003. She attended Rifle High School but dropped out during her senior year after having a baby.
Personal Life
In 2004, Lauren went bowling with 24-year-old Jayson Boebert, who exposed himself to two women at the alley. He pleaded guilty to public indecency, serving four days in jail and two years of probation. A month later, he also pleaded guilty to a domestic violence charge against Lauren, spending seven days in jail. The couple married in 2007 and have four sons. Lauren dropped out of high school around 2008 when she became pregnant with their first child. She filed for divorce in May 2023. In 2016, Lauren faced legal trouble for careless driving and was arrested in 2017 for failing to appear in court. Boebert became a born-again Christian in 2009. In June 2023, she announced she had become a grandmother after her 17-year-old son Tyler welcomed a baby boy.
Shooters Grill
After dropping out of high school, Lauren became an assistant manager at McDonald's in Rifle. Following her marriage, she worked at a natural gas drilling company. In 2013, Lauren and Jayson opened Shooters Grill in Rifle, Colorado, encouraging staff to openly carry firearms due to a false claim about a man beaten to death outside the restaurant. They also owned Smokehouse 1776 across the street and another restaurant called Putters, sold in 2016. In 2017, Shooters Grill and Smokehouse 1776 allegedly caused a food poisoning outbreak at a Garfield County fair, where they operated without permits and handled food improperly. Congressional disclosure forms show the restaurant lost $143,000 in 2019 and $226,000 in 2020. During the COVID pandemic, Lauren violated Colorado's stay-at-home order by reopening Shooters Grill for dine-in service, resulting in the suspension of the food license and the eventual closure of Shooters Grill in summer 2022.

US House of Representatives
Boebert decided to enter federal politics in late 2019, announcing her campaign to represent Colorado's 3rd congressional district. She ran against five-term incumbent Scott Tipton in the Republican primary and Democrat Diane Mitsch Bush in the general election. Her campaign celebrated far-right extremism and gun ownership, with vocal support for QAnon conspiracy theories. Despite controversies, she won the election. In 2021, Boebert was investigated by the FEC for using reelection campaign funds for personal expenses, which she later claimed were for rental and utilities bills, reimbursed to the campaign. Controversies continued throughout her campaign, marked by inflammatory and false statements, including perpetuating the Big Lie about the 2020 presidential election and falsely accusing Anthony Fauci of facilitating the COVID pandemic. She won the general election by a narrow margin.
Political Positions
Boebert opposes women's rights, LGBTQ rights, immigrant rights, clean energy, sex education, gun control, universal healthcare, and COVID-19 safety measures. During the pandemic, she objected to facemasks and vaccines and was fined for violating Congress's mask mandate. She supported the January 6, 2021 insurrection and voted to overturn the 2020 presidential election results. Boebert advocates for abolishing the US Department of Education and has made racist remarks about other US representatives, including Ilhan Omar.
Boebert Consulting
In 2012, Jayson Boebert launched Boebert Consulting, working with Colorado natural gas company Terra Energy. Financial disclosures show he earned $478,386 in 2020 and $460,601 in 2021 from the consulting company, which the state of Colorado classified as delinquent in 2021 due to missing filings or a registered agent.
Real Estate
Lauren and Jayson co-own a 5-acre property in Rifle, Colorado, featuring a 4-bedroom, 2,700-square-foot home dating back to the early 1900s. According to House financial disclosures, they carry a $250,000 – $500,000 mortgage with Pennymac bank.
