Lacey Nicole Chabert was born on September 30, 1982, in Purvis, Mississippi. Her heritage includes Cajun, Italian, Irish, and English ancestry. Chabert began acting in school plays and local drama productions at a young age. Her first television role was in a commercial for cough syrup. She gained attention as a finalist on the 1991 season of "Star Search." After moving to New York City, she landed the role of Cosette in Broadway's "Les Misérables," which she played for two years.
Early Career
At age nine, Chabert starred in the television movie "A Little Piece of Heaven," earning a Young Artist Award nomination. In 1992, she had a recurring role on the soap opera "All My Children." In 1994, she was cast as Claudia Salinger in "Party of Five," a show that followed five orphaned siblings. The show won a Golden Globe in 1996, and Chabert received a Young Artist Award in 1999, along with two YoungStar Award wins in 1997 and 1998.
Chabert voiced Eliza Thornberry in "The Wild Thornberrys" from 1998 to 2004 and reprised her role in "The Wild Thornberrys Movie" and "Rugrats Go Wild."
