Initially a replacement for an injured cast member, she became a full-time cast member for three seasons but left after a disagreement with co-owner Ami James. Von D then starred in her own reality show, LA Ink, which focused on her Hollywood tattoo shop, High Voltage Tattoo. The show was a hit, and she set a Guinness World Record by tattooing 400 individuals in 24 hours. Besides her reality shows, she has appeared in TV shows like Pimp My Ride, MADtv, I Love Jenni, and Life in Pieces, and narrated the documentary Dominion.
