He began his college journey at Reedley College, a junior college where one of the assistant coaches was married to his cousin. After a year, he transferred to the University of Wyoming.

College Career

Josh Allen aimed to enter the 2017 NFL draft but went undrafted, prompting him to return to Wyoming and graduate in December 2017. His perseverance paid off when he was selected as the seventh overall pick by the Buffalo Bills in the 2018 NFL draft.

Professional Career

On July 25, 2017, Allen signed a fully-guaranteed four-year $21 million contract with the Bills. Initially, he competed for the starting quarterback position against AJ McCarron and Nathan Peterman. Following McCarron's trade to the Raiders, Allen initially lost the starting role to Peterman.

However, in September 2018, Peterman was benched, and Josh was promoted to the starting quarterback position. Ahead of the 2019 season, he was named team captain. During the 2020-21 season, Josh led the Bills to the AFC Championship.
