Jonathan Antin was born on August 16, 1967, in Los Angeles, California. His mother was an interior designer, and his father was an artist. He has three brothers, Steve, Neil, and Robin. Steve Antin is a filmmaker known for the 2010 film "Burlesque," and Robin Antin founded The Pussycat Dolls. Inspired by the 1975 film "Shampoo," Jonathan decided to pursue a career in hair styling. He often described himself as a "black sheep" during his time at Beverly Hills High, which he left to attend beauty school.
Career
Jonathan studied at Fairfax Beauty Academy and later worked at a salon in West Hollywood's Beverly Center. At 23, he opened his own salon, quickly establishing himself as one of Hollywood's top stylists by the end of the '90s. His hair care line, Jonathan Product, grew into a multi-million-dollar business before he sold his shares in 2010. Jonathan expanded his salon business by opening a second location in Beverly Hills. Eventually, he sold both salons and launched Jonathan Antin Salon in Beverly Hills. Jonathan is married to boutique owner Sescie Karabuykov, and they celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary in 2021. They have two children, son Asher (born in 2005) and daughter Jocie (born in 2007). A 2015 article on Bravo.com mentioned that Jonathan was coaching Asher's basketball team at the time.
Real Estate
In April 2007, Jonathan and Sescie purchased a 2,859 square-foot home in the Toluca Lake area of Los Angeles for $1.98 million. They listed the four-bedroom, 2.75-bathroom home for $1.999 million in November 2009.
