In 2003, he led Syracuse to its first national title against Kansas.

Boeheim's accolades include four Big East Coach of the Year awards and ten District II Coach of the Year honors from the National Association of Basketball Coaches. He also received Syracuse University's Arents Award, the highest honor for an alumnus.
