What Is Jason Aldean's Net Worth?

Jason Aldean is an American country music singer and songwriter with a net worth of $80 million. He is best known for hits like "Big Green Tractor," "She's Country," "Hicktown," and "Dirt Road Anthem." He has secured numerous Academy of Country Music Awards, American Country Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and has been nominated for five Grammy Awards. Over 25 of his singles have topped the Billboard Country Airplay or Hot Country Songs charts.

Early Life

Jason Aldean, born Jason Aldine Williams, entered the world on February 28, 1977, in Macon, Georgia. His parents split when he was three, and he spent most of his childhood with his mother in Macon. Summers were spent with his father in Homestead, Florida. Jason learned guitar by practicing during his father's work hours, and they would jam together in the evenings. Inspired by his parents, he aimed to be a country singer by age 14 and started performing locally. By high school, he had formed a band and performed at small venues and clubs across the southeast, guided by his father.

Early Career

In 1998, Aldean began performing songs for his debut album. After a show in Atlanta, a producer from Warner Chappel Music offered him a record deal, leading him to move to Nashville, Tennessee. Despite being dropped by two labels, he persevered and in 2004 signed with Broken Bow Records. His 2005 debut album featured hits like "Why," "Amarillo Sky," and "Hicktown," reaching the top 10 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and earning Platinum certification. His 2007 album "Relentless" debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on the Top Country Albums chart, selling nearly 100,000 copies in its first week.

December 2008 saw the release of "She's Country," followed by the 2009 album "Wide Open," which included the #1 singles "She's Country" and "Big Green Tractor." The 2010 album "My Kinda Party" featured the hit duet "Don't You Wanna Stay" with Kelly Clarkson, and a performance of "Dirt Road Anthem" with rapper Ludacris at the 2011 CMT Awards. His fifth album, "Night Train," debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and included collaborations with Eric Church and Luke Bryan. Aldean co-hosted the 2013 Country Music Awards with Kristen Bell, and in 2014 appeared on Ludacris' album "Burning Bridges." His album "Old Boots, New Dirt" was released that year and achieved Platinum status.

"They Don't Know," Aldean's seventh album, released in September 2016, debuted at #1 on the Billboard album chart. In October 2017, while performing at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas, a mass shooting occurred. While Aldean and his crew escaped unharmed, the tragedy claimed 52 lives and injured over 800. A week later, Aldean performed Tom Petty's "I Won't Back Down" on "Saturday Night Live." His album "Rearview Town" debuted at #1 in April 2018, becoming his fourth consecutive album to top the Billboard 200 chart. His 2019 album, "9," debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200.

Personal Life

In 2001, Aldean married Jessica Ann Ussery, with whom he has two daughters. Following a public incident with former "American Idol" contestant Brittany Kerr in 2012, Aldean and Ussery divorced in 2013. He got engaged to Kerr in September 2014 and married her in March 2015. They have two children together. Aldean has raised over $4 million for breast cancer research, much of which was donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
