GG Allin, an American punk rock singer-songwriter, had a net worth of $100 thousand. Born in Lancaster, New Hampshire in August 1956, GG Allin, whose birth name was Jesus Christ Allin, died in June 1993. Throughout his career, Allin performed with numerous groups and was notorious for his transgressive live performances, which often featured acts of self-mutilation, coprophagia, and even physical assaults on audience members. These shocking behaviors earned him the title “the most spectacular degenerate in rock & roll history” by AllMusic and “the toughest rock star in the world” by G4TV's That's Tough.
Beyond punk rock, Allin also recorded spoken word pieces, country music, and rock and roll tracks. GG Allin had a mission to bring danger back to rock music and his lyrics were often extremely provocative and inhumane. His music, generally poorly recorded and produced, received predominantly negative reviews and saw limited distribution. Despite this, GG Allin managed to maintain a cult following. For several years, he promised to commit suicide onstage during one of his performances.
Sadly, GG Allin passed away offstage from an accidental heroin overdose on June 28, 1993, at the age of 35.
