Early Career
In 1962, Brooker formed the band The Paramounts with his friend Robin Trower. The band became known for playing many shows with The Rolling Stones.
Procol Harum
In 1966, Brooker formed Procol Harum with his friend Keith Reid. The band released their self-titled debut studio album in 1967 and went on to release a total of 12 studio albums. Their biggest hit, "A Whiter Shade of Pale" (1967), is one of the few singles ever to sell more than 10 million copies.
Procol Harum was nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012.
Solo Career and Honours
