Enrico initially studied psychology and sociology at the University of Toronto before shifting his focus to acting. He transferred to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City, graduating in 1985, and later attended Yale School of Drama, earning the Carol Dye Award.

Career

Colantoni's television debut came in 1987 with episodes of 'Night Heat' and 'Friday the 13th: The Series.' In 1994, he appeared in 'Law & Order,' 'New York Undercover,' and 'NYPD Blue.'

His first major television role was as Louis Utz in 'Hope & Gloria' (1995-1996). Colantoni's film debut was in 'Money Train' (1995), followed by a brief appearance in 'Albino Alligator' (1996). In 1997, he acted in 'Life's Work,' 'The Member of the Wedding,' 'Cloned,' and 'The Wrong Guy.'

From 1997 to 2003, Colantoni portrayed Elliot DiMauro in 'Just Shoot Me!' while continuing to take on other projects. Noteworthy films during this period include 'Stigmata' and 'Galaxy Quest' (1999). His 2001 roles included 'A.I. Artificial Intelligence,' 'James Jean,' and a guest appearance in 'The Outer Limits.'
