What is Dave Bickler's Net Worth?
Dave Bickler is an American vocalist who has accumulated a net worth of $3 million. Born in North Dakota in March 1953, Bickler is most famously recognized as the lead singer for the band Survivor. During his early career, he was also one of two vocalists for the band Jamestown Massacre, which had success with the single "Summer Sum".
Bickler transitioned into working on commercial jingles where he met Jim Peterik. This connection led to his role as an original member of the rock band Survivor from 1977 to 1983, and later from 1993 to 2000. With Survivor, he contributed to multiple albums including "Survivor", "Premonition", "Eye of the Tiger", and "Caught in the Game". Notably, he didn't just lend his voice; Bickler also played keyboards for the band.
Survivor's hit song, "Eye of the Tiger", became the anthem for Rocky III upon the request of Sylvester Stallone. The song resided at the top of the Billboard charts for seven weeks and earned a Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal. Additionally, it secured a People's Choice Award and an Academy Award nomination.
Bickler's journey with Survivor faced a setback when he developed polyps on his vocal cords, leading to his departure from the band. Although he rejoined at a later stage, he was ultimately dismissed in 2000. The band reunited once again in 2013.
Bickler's versatile talents extended into commercial advertising, where he starred in notable campaigns such as Budweiser's "Real American Heroes" and "Real Men of Genius". In 2009, he shared songs from an upcoming album he was diligently working on.
