What is Cindy Crawford's Net Worth?

Cindy Crawford is an esteemed American model and businesswoman with a net worth of $400 million, shared with her husband Rande Gerber, a successful tequila entrepreneur and co-founder of Casamigos Tequila alongside George Clooney. They have two children and have been married since 1998. On her own, Cindy's fortune exceeds $200 million.

Known for her iconic mole above her lip, Cindy Crawford stands as one of the original five supermodels, alongside Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington, and Tatjana Patitz. She has received numerous accolades, including being named one of Men's Health's 100 Hottest Women of All Time and ranking #3 on VH1's 40 Hottest Hotties of the 90s. Additionally, she appeared on People magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People list in 2002. Over the years, Cindy featured in music videos by George Michael, Jon Bon Jovi, Duran Duran, and Taylor Swift. She hosted MTV's 'House of Style' from 1989 to 1995 and appeared in TV series such as '3rd Rock from the Sun,' 'According to Jim,' 'Wizards of Waverly Place,' and 'Cougar Town.'

The last true generation of supermodels created a new business model for fashion icons. Rather than fading into obscurity, they diversified their careers into roles such as fashion designers, TV hosts, and entrepreneurs. Cindy Crawford exemplifies this, turning her modeling success into a new career path, including her lines of furniture (Cindy Crawford Home) and cosmetics (Meaningful Beauty).

Early Life

Cindy Crawford was born Cynthia Ann Crawford on February 20, 1966, in DeKalb, Illinois. She grew up with her mother Jennifer, a bank teller, her father Dan, an electrician, and her sisters Chris and Danielle. Tragically, she lost her brother Jeffrey to childhood leukemia when he was just three.

Cindy excelled academically, becoming the valedictorian of DeKalb High School in 1984. A local photo shoot and a picture by photographer Roger Legel ignited her modeling career. At 17, she was the runner-up in Elite Model Management's Look of the Year contest. Despite starting a chemical engineering scholarship at Northwestern University, she left to pursue modeling, signing with Elite New York in 1986.

Career

Crawford dominated the modeling world in the 1980s and 1990s, gracing the covers of top magazines, including 'Vogue,' 'Cosmopolitan,' and 'Elle.' She walked runways for Versace, Chanel, and Calvin Klein, among others, and appeared in George Michael's 'Freedom '90' music video. Her fitness videos, starting with 1992's 'Cindy Crawford: Shape Your Body,' were also hugely popular. Cindy hosted 'House of Style' on MTV from 1989 to 1995 and became a household name through Pepsi commercials and her brief foray into acting with the film 'Fair Game' in 1995.

Although Cindy retired from full-time modeling in 2000, she remains active through her beauty line, partnerships, and occasional magazine covers. She also co-wrote a book, 'Becoming,' and continues to influence fashion and beauty industries.
