Early Life and Education
Christopher Wesson Bosh was born on March 24, 1984, in Dallas, Texas, to Noel and Freida Bosh. Raised in Hutchins, a Dallas suburb, he has a younger brother, Joel. As children, they played basketball together. Bosh also participated in karate, gymnastics, and baseball until high school. His serious engagement with basketball began in fourth grade when his father introduced him to the game.
At Lincoln High School in Dallas, Bosh excelled academically and athletically, joining the National Honor Society, engineering clubs, and leading his team to the USA Today National Championship. Recognized as High School Player of the Year by Basketball America, Bosh caught the attention of college scouts. He chose to attend Georgia Tech over other offers and studied graphic design and computer imaging but left after his freshman year to enter the 2003 NBA draft.
Professional Career

Bosh stayed with the Raptors until 2010, during which time he was named team captain and chosen for multiple All-Star games, totaling eleven All-Star appearances between 2006 and 2016. In 2010, in a sign-and-trade deal, Bosh joined the Miami Heat, forming the Big Three with Dwyane Wade and LeBron James. The trio led the Heat to NBA Finals appearances in 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014, winning titles in 2012 and 2013.
Sadly, Bosh ended his career in 2016 due to a blood clotting condition, deemed career-ending by the NBA in 2017. After leaving the Heat in May 2017, Bosh officially retired in February 2019, and the Miami Heat retired his No. 1 jersey in March the same year.
