Brian Benben is an American actor with a net worth of $13 million, combined with his wife, fellow actor Madeleine Stowe, whom he married in 1982.

Early Life

Brian Edward Benben was born on June 18, 1956, in Winchester, Virginia, to Gloria Patricia and Peter Benben Sr. The family later moved to New York, where he attended high school in Marlboro. After high school, he spent two years at Ulster County Community College in Stone Ridge, New York, before relocating to New York City to pursue an acting career.

Career

Benben's career began in 1981 with his role as Michael Lasker in "The Gangster Chronicles," a crime drama based on the lives of gangsters Bugsy Siegel, Lucky Luciano, and Meyer Lansky. He followed this with a Broadway role in John Byrne's "Slab Boys" alongside Kevin Bacon, Sean Penn, Val Kilmer, and Jackie Earle Haley in 1983.

In 1986, he starred in "Kay O'Brien" as Mark Doyle, but the series lasted only eight episodes. Benben appeared in "Clean and Sober" (1988) with Michael Keaton and "Mortal Sins" (1989). His most notable role came in 1990 with HBO's "Dream On," where he played Martin Tupper. The show ran for six seasons, earning him the CableACE Award for Actor in a Comedy Series in 1993.
