What is Brandon Blackstock's net worth?

Brandon Blackstock, an American talent manager, has a net worth of $10 million. He is widely recognized for being married to singer Kelly Clarkson. The couple tied the knot in 2013 and have two children together. Additionally, Brandon has two children from a prior relationship. During their divorce, Brandon initially sought $436,000 per month in spousal and child support. Ultimately, Kelly agreed to pay him $45,000 per month for child support and $115,000 per month in spousal support for two years, concluding in January 2024. She also paid $1.2 million for his legal expenses.

Early Life

Born in Fort Worth, Texas, in December 1976, Brandon Blackstock is the stepson of singer Reba McEntire and the son of Narvel Blackstock, who managed Kelly Clarkson. Narvel and Reba married in 1989, and during their 26-year marriage, they formed Starstruck Entertainment, managing Reba's career. Their divorce in 2015 reportedly resulted in Narvel receiving a significant portion of Reba's wealth.

Brandon and Kelly became engaged in 2012 and married in 2013. At the time of their meeting, Brandon was still technically married to Melissa Ashworth. Their divorce was finalized in 2012, and Brandon and Melissa share two children. Kelly and Brandon have a daughter and a son together.

Real Estate

During their marriage, Brandon and Kelly lived in an $8 million mansion in Encino, California. In June 2018, Kelly purchased the 10,000-square-foot property, which served as their primary residence. The family had previously rented a home in LA that was burglarized several times. Kelly listed the Encino mansion for sale in May 2020, initially for just under $10 million. The price eventually dropped to $9 million and then $8.24 million before it sold in September 2021. Here's a video tour of the house:

The couple also owned a home in Nashville, Tennessee, and a ranch in Montana. Post-divorce, Kelly retained ownership of the ranch, with Brandon awarded a 5% stake. At the time, the ranch was valued at $17 million.

Divorce Settlement

Kelly filed for divorce in June 2020. That December, Brandon requested $436,000 per month in financial support, which included $135,000 in child support and $301,000 in spousal support. He also sought a one-time payment of $2 million for legal expenses, and he wanted their two children to live with him in Montana.

The court eventually mandated Kelly to pay Brandon $45,000 monthly in child support until their children turn 18 and $115,000 monthly in spousal support for two years, ending in January 2024. Moreover, Brandon was awarded $1.2 million for legal fees.

Management Fee Lawsuit

Amid their divorce proceedings, Kelly filed documents with the California Labor Commission, accusing Brandon of defrauding her during his 13-year tenure as her manager. She claimed he was not licensed to operate as a talent agent, which is required in California. In response, representatives from Brandon's company, Starstruck Management Group, argued that Kelly was always appropriately represented by her separate talent agency, CAA. Two months earlier, Starstruck had sued Kelly for $1.4 million in owed commissions.

In November 2023, an LA judge ruled in Kelly's favor, determining that Brandon had overcharged her by millions. The ruling detailed that Brandon had inflated commissions on deals for Kelly's appearances on "The Voice," and in Wayfair and Norwegian Cruise Line commercials.
