Aziz Akhannouch is a prominent Moroccan businessman with a net worth of $1.7 billion, shared with his family. He ascended to billionaire status through his significant stake in the Akwa Group, a multi-billion-dollar Moroccan conglomerate based in Casablanca. Akwa Group operates predominantly in the petroleum, gas, and chemical sectors via its publicly-traded subsidiaries, Afriquia Gas and Maghreb Oxygene.
