Early Life

Arcángel & De La Ghetto
Arcángel launched his professional music career in 2004 as one half of the reggaeton duo Arcángel & De La Ghetto. They signed with Baby Records, a subsidiary of Universal Music Group, and had their breakthrough in 2006 with the hit single "Ven y Pégate," featured on the compilation album "Sangre Nueva." The duo continued their streak with another compilation album, "Mas Flow: Los Benjamins." However, they never released a studio album. Breaking away in late 2006, Arcángel pursued a solo career and established his own label, Flow Factory, parting ways with De La Ghetto in early 2007.
Solo Career
Post-split, Arcángel continued to feature in compilation albums, notably DJ Nelson's "Flow la Discoteka 2" (2007), which included his hit "Chica Virtual.” His solo debut, "El Fenómeno," released in late 2008, featured collaborations with Tempo, Don Omar, and J-King. The album reached number 14 on the Top Latin Albums chart, and singles like "Por Amar a Ciegas" and "Pa' Que la Pases Bien" propelled him further into the limelight. Arcángel embarked on an international tour following its release, covering countries such as Germany, Spain, France, and Denmark.
In 2010, Arcángel dropped two mixtapes, "The Problem Child" and "Optimus A.R.C.A." Joining Pina Records in 2012, he launched the album "Sentimiento, Elegancia & Maldad" in 2013, which marked his highest commercial success, topping the Latin Albums chart. His later albums include "Ares," "Historias de un Capricornio," and "Sr. Santos." Released in 2022, "Sr. Santos" featured the Latin hit "La Jumpa" with Bad Bunny.

Personal Life
Arcángel is a father to two children: a son named Austin Alejandro Santos Pascual and a daughter named Angélica Lucero Santos Figueroa. While the mother of his children remains undisclosed, it has been reported that Arcángel was once married to Alejandra Pascual. In late 2021, he faced a personal tragedy as his younger brother died in a car accident in Puerto Rico.
