His first film appearance was as a cruise ship bartender in the 1989 movie "Going Overboard," which also marked Sandler's big-screen debut. The early '90s saw Covert in minor roles in films and TV shows like "Roseanne," "Ferris Bueller," "The Ben Stiller Show," "Airheads," and "Saturday Night Live." Notably, in 1995, he played Kenny in "Heavyweights" and had roles in "Happy Gilmore" and "Bulletproof."

In 1996, Covert helped write and produce Sandler's music video "Adam Sandler: Steve Polychonopolous." By 1998, his screen presence grew with a role in "The Wedding Singer" alongside Sandler and Drew Barrymore. In February 2006, Allen Covert married Kathryn Ashley Hagstrom. The couple remained together until 2019 when Hagstrom filed for divorce, which was finalized in November of that year.

Real Estate

In 2016, Allen purchased a 6,600-square-foot home in a gated community in Calabasas, California, for $2.17 million. He listed and sold the home in May 2020 for $2.475 million within 19 days.
